We move inoperable vehicles by finding a truck with a winch to pull it onto the trailer. How long does it take?We place your order quickly, then we schedule the pickup and delivery date that works for you. If whoever is releasing the vehicle for pickup can't be there when the truck wants to schedule it, any trusted person can sign for it and hand over the keys. You will be contacted by the transport giving you the date and approximate time of pickup or drop-off. Will my car be delivered to my door?Over 99% of the time, yes. If the drop off point is extremely difficult for the truck, the driver can meet you at a nearby place of your choosing. Will my personal belongings be insured during the move?Federal law mandates that the transport company is NOT responsible for personal belongings carried in the car during transportation. Ask us about this when you call. What type of insurance will my car have when it is transported?The Federal Highway Administration requires the transporter to carry the insurance on your car. It is impossible for anyone else to insure your car for your move. Also, they have to meet government regulations on the insurance of your automobile. It's as simple as that. That's why Rapid Auto Transporter works hard to find a safe and legal transporter to carry your car. If at any time you need to ask for the transports insurance or deductible information, feel free to call us or the transporter we set you up with. How do I pay to have my car moved?We accept VISA, Mastercard, Discover and American Express Credit Cards and Debit Cards. We also use Paypal. You can telephone your order to us or mail it. We don't use online credit card orders because we want your card number protected! Your card number is not given out to anyone! Nor do we sell your personal information. After we calculate your deposit you can pay whichever way you choose. When your vehicle arrives you will pay the driver in full the remaining amount due after the deposit. You must pay in full, in cash or cashier's check ONLY. C.O.D. is the only way the driver can release the vehicle to you. What if my car doesn't run?We can still get it moved, however there is an additional fee involved.Usually that fee is about $100 more than a standard transport fee due to the added hassle of loading and unloading common with in-operable cars. If your car is apart or not running, it makes it more difficult to get it on and off the truck. Can I request an enclosed trailer?Absolutely! If you have any type of car that you wish to protect from all the elements, then please do request an enclosed trailer! |
